The Challenge

Hospitals and diagnostic centers typically run OPD, IPD, pharmacy, lab, and radiology as disconnected systems — and radiology in particular still depends on heavyweight desktop DICOM viewers that don't scale across a distributed, multi-location practice. The platform needed to unify clinical and administrative workflows in one place while giving radiologists a fast, zero-install way to view and report on medical images, with security and audit requirements built in from the start.

The Solution

We built Niancares as a multi-tenant SaaS platform on a Laravel API backend with a Next.js frontend, isolating each facility's data while sharing one continuously improved codebase. The standout piece is the PACS module: a browser-based DICOM viewer built on WADO-RS/QIDO-RS streaming and CornerstoneJS. AI-assisted reading (nodule and stroke triage) is shown in the demo viewer and is on the roadmap. Every PHI transaction and image query is designed to be written to an IHE ATNA-style audit trail, aligned with HIPAA and ISO 27001/27701 practices (ISO 27001 certification is in progress).

A command center for the whole hospital

Patient flow, bed occupancy, appointments and a priority radiology queue sit on one dashboard, so every department lead is looking at the same picture.

Six modules, one connected workflow

OPD token queues and e-prescriptions flow through to pharmacy, lab and billing, while IPD bed allocation, ward rounds and discharge summaries sit alongside — one record, no re-entry between departments.

Radiology in the browser

A zero-footprint DICOM viewer built on WADO-RS streaming and CornerstoneJS means no workstation install. AI-assisted nodule and stroke triage is shown in the demo viewer and is on the product roadmap.
